So I’m still sick, it’s been like 7 days now. I’ve really had enough now. I can’t work out due to a diminished lung capacity. Although I may just do my stength training if things don’t improve in the near future. At least it’s something.
I was down 4lbs this week, so that’s good. What’s bad is that was the direct result of only eating cough drops & tea for a week. I’ll take what I can get.
Hope this cold breaks soon. I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired.
The worst part of my bad day yesterday was the $150 ticket I got for accidentally parking in the handicapped spot.
So terrible, I never even noticed the sign. I was just so happy to find a parking spot on the street.
Still feeling icky today, but I’m going to keep up with the elderberry extract. I don’t feel any worse than yesterday, still sore throat & sort of runny nose. Maybe this stuff is working?
Planning to run stairs at lunch again, still debating whether or not to grab my dumbells. I think I might, and kill two birds with one stone, upper body & cardio in one fell swoop. Then all I have to do is my core tonight and go for a walk. Probably the treadmill though since it’s been cold as heck the last few evenings.
Outlook is better today regarding last night’s weigh in. I am just going to work extra hard this week and eat extra clean and I know that next week’s weigh in will be better. I’ve already gotten some comments on looking slimmer, but I haven’t redone my measurements yet. Perhaps next week.
So my weigh in didn’t go so good today. In fact it was awful. First I started getting a really sore throat, which is turning into a full blown cold, (I’m trying elderberry extract for it, we’ll see how it goes). I was UP 0.2 lbs, not cool. I know I wasn’t 100% good last week, but I’d say I was at least 80% good in my diet, and very good with my workouts (except for Saturday). I’m going to chin up and keep slogging along though, it’s all I can do. Work really hard this week, be good on Thanksgiving, and hopefully the scale will do some nice things next Wednesday. I’m also going to check my body fat percentage on my fancy-schmancy scale to see if there were any changes there. That might make me feel better.
On a non-scale victory, doing the stairs at the trainers today was not NEARLY as hard as it normally is. I’m going to continue to run stairs on my off-trainer days as part of my cardio, working up to more sets at a faster pace. I may include weights tomorrow, since I carry a set of dumbells in my van now for just such an occasion.
Hoping this Elderberry extract will help with the cols symptoms, I’ve been doing some reading on it, and it’s supposed to be pretty miraculous stuff.
It better be miraculous, because it tastes like ass, and sour berries, and licorice. Damn.
To my next weigh in.
Nervous, and have developed a sore throat. I wonder if the are any good low cal, low carb soup options?
Did 30 min on the recumbant bike for some cardio today. I try not to go to hard at lunch on trainer days, or I find that I’m too tired to keep up at night.
Considering the amount of stairs they make us climb, I should be ok.
So my calf muscles are super tight from doing 18+ flights of stairs lst night. I’m just praying that the trainers take it easy on us on the stairs tonight.
It probably won’t happen, but a girl can always hope.
Still a little worried about my weigh in tonight. Hoping to see another loss, even if it isn’t 4lbs like last week.
